Sam and Angie invite you to stay at our chambre d'hôtes La Maison des Fleurs.
We are a mother and daughter team who have lived in this beautiful area of the Vendée for five years. The little village of St-Maurice-des-Noues is typically friendly and pretty, with a small pub in the centre and an excellent riding school that provides regular hacks around the local countryside for all abilities. The property itself has a beautiful pool with large terraced area for relaxing and use of a barbecue. There are many excellent restaurants in the area for dining out.
There are many activities nearby, including Mervent Forest which is ideal for cycling and walking and also has an adventure park with an assault course. If you just want to unwind and relax, then Vouvant is the place for you. Just 2km away, it has some of the most spectacular scenery ever to be seen.
Whilst choosing how to spend your day you will be provided with a continental breakfast that can be enjoyed inside or in the gardens. For people staying whilst house hunting, feel free to pick our brains and of course we will offer advice and help when at all possible. There are regular flights from three airports; La Rochelle being the nearest at about 1hr 20mins away or alternatively you could use Nantes or Poitiers. For those preferring to drive there is the channel tunnel or the nearest port is St. Malo.
